Find Your Tribe

I've been a bit quiet on here lately, as I have been going through some more shadow work, focusing on other parts of myself. Going through a lot of growth and shedding older versions of myself can be exhausting and very lonely. It's not something you can talk to just anyone about and quite frankly, it's not something you want to talk to everyone about. It's messy and painful and isolating at times.
My cousin (who I often refer to as my Guru) and I have lived pretty parallel lives spiritually since we were teenagers. We have had such different experiences, but with many similarities at the same time. We've always been able to talk to each other about anything and everything. Luckily, this has included much of that growth and healing.
Our annual visits to each other have turned into a minimum of twice a year now, because we have realized that seeing each other puts us both in alignment. The most recent visit was her coming to me and after she left, I felt the usual full heart, gratitude, love, and wholeness. There is something magical about our time together.
While she was here, we had many discussions about the power of women coming together, being vulnerable, and supporting each other through the vulnerability. There is truly nothing like it. I dream of a world where it's not about competition, but more about collaboration. Releasing our egos and embracing our insecurities. Truly supporting one another and believing in each other wholeheartedly. I know this is not how reality works, but sometimes, for a moment, I do get a glimpse of life like this. I treasure those moments and hold them near and dear to me always.
To the amazing women out there: celebrate yourself and find your tribe that will celebrate you just as much. Don't be afraid to share your fears, feelings, insecurities, and dreams. Don't be afraid to be you. The right ones will find you.
